NetOptimizer : How to find and use the Fastest DNS for your phone and close to your geographical location to speed up the Internet

Find the fastest DNS: speed up the Internet for your phone and location - NetOptimizer

When we use the internet at home or on our mobile devices, our devices usually rely on DNS servers configured automatically by our internet service provider. However, default servers are not always the best option.

If you're concerned about your online privacy and prefer not to share your browsing history with your service provider, or simply want to improve browsing speed and access blocked websites, setting up an alternative DNS server may be beneficial for you.

If you're not entirely sure what a DNS server is, you'll find that it functions as a massive database that translates website URLs into IP addresses. Thanks to this process, you can access sites like "facebook.com" without needing to manually input their IP address "157.240.5.35".

Of course, if you have a slightly slower DNS server, this can lead to delays in page loading. If you're looking to improve internet connection speed on your Android device, experimenting with an alternative DNS server might be the optimal step to achieve this goal.

Find and use the fastest public DNS for your Android device via NetOptimizer

Since we intend to change the DNS server, we will start using a public DNS server, which is usually free. These servers are located all over the world, and will provide us with performance that could be better or worse depending on our geographical location.

To find the best DNS server for our current site that will boost browsing speed, we will use a free application called NetOptimizer.
  • Start by heading to the Google Play Store and install the NetOptimizer app.
  • Once you open the app, you can skip the initial tutorial to use.
  • When you reach the Home screen, you'll see three tabs in the top menu. Go to the second tab and press the "Scan DNS" button.
  • The app will scan the DNS server and choose the fastest based on your location and type of internet connection. Once you press the "Connect" button, the app will create a VPN tunnel to the specified DNS server. After that, click "OK" and "Accept" to continue.

When you want to use the default DNS with your ISP again, you can simply click the "Deactivate" button on the NetOptimizer home screen.

What is Net Optimizer useful for?

  1. Find and connect the fastest DNS server based on your location and network.
  2. Improve web browsing speed with faster latency.
  3. Fix lag and reduce latency (connection test time) in online games for a better gaming experience.
Using Net Optimizer, you can find the fastest DNS server and connect to it with just one touch! This can improve browsing speed and gaming experience (ping and response time). (But remember that DNS settings will not affect internet download/upload speed but rather the response time).

Our experience with the app was smooth, achieving the highest ease of use. However, the free version faces many advertisements, but this isn't a significant issue since DNS configuration is a one-time process. Overall, it's a recommended app for those looking to enhance the performance of DNS servers used by their internet service provider.
