Why is my iPhone not showing notifications even though they are on?
1- Restart your iPhone:
2- Check your internet connection:
When notifications don't appear on your iPhone, especially from internet-based apps, you should check that you're connected to the internet, and try visiting some websites in your browser to make sure you have an internet connection.
If any of your websites or applications are not working, the notification problem may be related to the network. If you rely on cellular connections, you can turn off cellular data and then turn it back on again. Alternatively, enable airplane mode and then disable it after a few seconds. If you are connected to Wi-Fi, try restarting your router or disconnecting from Wi-Fi and then enabling it again.
On the other hand, disabling the Virtual Private Network (VPN) can help solve the problem, as those networks may affect the process of accessing notifications. So if you are using a private network for your iPhone, try disabling it and see if it resolves the issue of notifications not appearing.
You can disable the VPN connection from the service provider's application or by going to Settings, then selecting General, and then VPN & Device Management, and disabling the VPN connection.
3- Disabling Focus Mode:
Different focus modes such as Do Not Disturb, Sleep, and Personal, silence call sounds, notifications, and other alerts when activated. So when notifications do not appear on your phone, it is possible that you have accidentally activated focus mode.
To make sure of that, open the Control Center on your iPhone by swiping down from the top right corner on models with Face ID, or swiping up from the bottom on models with a home button.
After opening the Control Center, you will notice a symbol indicating the activated focus mode. For example, if Do Not Disturb mode is activated, you will see a crescent moon symbol in purple-blue. Click on the symbol to disable Do Not Disturb mode, and the moon color will change to white.
4- Disabling Focus Mode While Driving:
Driving Focus is a feature that mutes notifications when your iPhone is connected to your car via Bluetooth or detects that you are in a moving vehicle. This feature helps prevent distracted driving caused by notifications, but it may sometimes be activated automatically when it is not needed, such as when you are a passenger in a taxi or train. The feature assumes that you are the driver and silences all calls and notifications on your phone. To disable this feature, follow these steps:
5- Update your iOS operating system.
Updating your iOS operating system may help resolve some issues, such as notifications not appearing. To ensure that you have the latest available update for your system, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings, and select General.
- Tap on Software Update, and if an update is available, click on Download and Install.
- Follow the instructions that appear to update your operating system.
6. Update your apps:
7-Check The App’s Notifications Settings:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone and scroll down to find the app that's experiencing notification problems.
- Tap on the Notifications option and toggle on the switch next to Allow Notifications if it isn’t already.
8- Reset All Settings On Your Iphone
To reset your iPhone, open the Settings app and navigate to General, then tap on Reset. From there, select Reset All Settings and enter your passcode when prompted. Your iPhone will then reset. If the issue persists, you can try erasing all data from your iPhone by resetting it to its factory settings. However, this should only be done in extremely rare situations. If you choose this option, be sure to backup your data beforehand.
